Daily Care Guidelines

In addition to the basic marble coffee table care preventative measures, there are some daily care guidelines you should be aware of to help your marble surfaces retain their appearance and durability.

If you accidentally spill your morning coffee, don’t panic. A soft cloth with some warm water can fix it right away. While you can use a mild soap, it is recommended to use it sparingly, as it can create a film over the marble with excessive use. Be sure to wipe away any water and make sure the surface is completely dry. This is also a good daily practice to keep the surface nice and clean.

Cleaning Do’s

Preventative measures only go so far - marble care is about more than using drink coasters. There are some very important care tips anyone who has a marble surface should be aware of:

• Blot spills: Due to the porous nature of marble, it is critical to blot up any spills as soon as they happen. This prevents the liquid from soaking into the soft marble and staining it. The sealant may help prolong the time in which it takes the liquid to sink into the marble, but it does not prevent it from sinking in entirely. That’s why it’s important to clean up any spills immediately.
